Discount groups

Students and school children, senior citizens and war veterans are entitled to certain discounts in the ticket fares.

Free of charge may travel

Children under the age of 7

Children under the age of 7 travel free of charge in all zones (A-F) if accompanied by an older passanger.

One passenger travelling with a child in a pram

If you are travelling with a child in a pram or stroller, you are entitled to free travel in all zones. No separate fee is charged for prams or strollers. No night fare is charged either. The child must sit in the stroller or pram throughout the trip. A folded pram or a baby sling does not entitle you to a free journey.

Finnish War Veterans

Finnish war veterans who have front-veteran or minesweeper status (home municipality Tampere, Pirkkala, Nokia, Kangasala, Lempäälä, Ylöjärvi, Orivesi or Vesilahti) travel free of charge in all zones.

Customer service grants the personal benefit to a personal Travelcard.

Passenger in a wheelchair

Passengers in a wheelchair as well as their assistant sare entitled to travel free of charge in all zones. The assistants must travel and get off the bus in the company of the person they are assisting.

For safety reasons, electrical wheelchairs can only be transported on buses marked with the wheelchair symbol.

One assistant to a visually impaired or an intellectually disabled passenger

One assistant to a visually impaired or an intellectually disabled passenger is entitled to travel free of charge in all zones. Assistants must travel and leave the bus in the company of the person they are assisting.

The need for an assistant is ascertained by showing the vision impaired card (Näkövammaiskortti) or the membership card of Tampereen Kehitysvammaisten Tuki Ry.

The vision impaired card is granted by Näkövammaisten Keskusliitto ry and Förbundet Finlands Svenska Synskadade rf. The vision impaired card is free of charge and does not require membership (degree of disability 50%).
