Public transport organised jointly between eight municipalities in the Tampere region will start on 30 June 2014. Tampere region public transport is a collaboration between Tampere, Pirkkala, Nokia, Kangasala, Lempäälä, Ylöjärvi, Vesijärvi and Orivesi. With regional public transport, using the public transport system in Tampere city region will be easy and inexpensive.
The new ticketing system will start also on 30 June 2014.
There are tree zones for blue busses:
Tampere, Pirkkala, Pitkäniemi/Nokia, Vatiala/Kangasala, Siivikkala/Ylöjärvi, Sääksjärvi and Höytämö/Lempäälä
Lempäälä (excluding Sääksjärvi and Höytämö)), Kangasala (excluding Nattari), Nokia (excluding Pitkäniemi and Tottijärvi)
Ylöjärvi, line 13/Tampereen joukkoliikenne: Soppeenmäki - Vuorentausta (- Tampere)
Kangasala, Lempäälä, Nokia, Pirkkala, Tampere, Ylöjärvi
and Orivesi, which will be part of the system in 2016.
